Problems Of Christianity

Problems of Christianity

I’d like to illustrate some evident problems of Christianity. The first problem points out to the fact that a great number of Christians don’t know whether there’s a difference between real facts and numerous fashionable fictions books. To my great regret, the number of Christians being misled is approximately equal or even much greater than the number of people who don’t consider themselves to be Christians. If a non-Christian person ask a religious question to a real Christian, then most probably he’ll get rather a vague answer and nothing else. From my point of view, this indicates clearly that Christians do not possess much better knowledge of Christian theology to compare with those ones who aren’t Christians at all.

Currently, it’s not difficult to find those books which keep on spoiling Christian truth because these books are widely available. You can stumble on them almost in every bookstore because they are marketed so well. They give high profits to those who write them certainly. It goes without saying that these books impress us greatly so there’s no wonder that we have started asking too many questions on this matter. I really wonder if thoughts of doubt start to exist among even the most faithful Christians. I think we should be more conservative as Christians, more cautious of the winds of doctrine that come and go. And we should defend our Christian beliefs. To say the truth, we should be honest with ourselves and admit that Christianity has several problems currently… and it hasn’t nothing to do with Christ. It has everything to do with His human followers. Having admitted this, we can start tackling the current issues.

Now let’s take a closer look at the problems of Christianity. From my point of view, there are two main problems in Christianity right now. The first one deals with a lack of knowledge. It goes without saying that I mean knowledge of the Bible. Another problem is closely connected with the lack of fellowship.

The matter is that the vast majority of Christians feel the terrible lack of Biblical knowledge. According to numerous surveys, approximately 47 percent of Christian people who are the US citizens do not read such an essential book as the Bible for the period of typical week. As follows from this more than half of all Christians don’t know properly the basic foundation of their belief. How on Earth can we distinguish Christian truth and modern fashionable fairy tales if most of us keep on ignoring reading our primary sacred book?

As for fellowship, I can say that Christians require a further strengthening of our common fellowship with our Creator and all Christian believers. Correspondingly, the number of those who keep on attending church has dropped to 47 percent. Sunday schools have also lost a great portion of their popularity reaching 24 percent. But our fellowship is very essential to make our belief stronger under the circumstances of this quickly changing world.
