Accounting Associates Degree

An Associate’s degree program is the first step towards a lucrative career in accounting. The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that accountants bring home an average of $58,000 a year.

No academic degree program can guarantee such a handsome salary. The Associate’s degree program would teach you the business fundamentals, income tax laws and the new SOX regulations.

An Associate’s degree program can often be completed in as little as two years, with this degree you will be trained in financial, managerial and cost accounting. Students seeking an Associate’s degree must earn at least 30 credit hours, at the same time accountants with knowledge of SOX standards can be very valuable to employers.

Students placing into these courses must pass tests prior to enrolling in any course at the 200 level or above, and computer Literacy is a General Education prerequisite. General Education courses must be selected from science, math, humanities, economics, communication or professional foundations.
